September 8, 2008

In early September, GlobalMedic has deployed additional aid to affected areas in Myanmar. The Rapid Response Team member’s identity is being withheld for their own protection. The team member has been deployed equipped with 500,000 Aquatab Water Purification Tablets, 2 Trekker Water Purification Units, 8,400 sachets of ORS and 172,000 tablets of essential medicines. They will be assisting in the restoration of a school and rebuilding the medical infrastructure of particular villages.

GlobalMedic has already donated to the people of Myanmar since Cyclone Nargis devastated the county in early May, 2008. GlobalMedic has delivered 101 water purification units, 8.8 million Aquatabs and a medical kit which provides enough essential medicines to treat 50,000 patients.
